Mr. Foxy

Its always interesting to see the end result of a project.

This is how Foxy is looking now. I still need to put a border on, which I have to make myself to do befor I start my next project. I really want to start my next project!

This is what I plan to make next (minus the applique).  I've never worked with Jersey fabric befor, hopefully it goes well.  This pattern is from the book Sew Liberated, I took it out from the library and its now a bit overdue, oopps, its such a good book, I'm just not done with it yet.  I should really just buy the darn thing.  http://sewliberated.com/

Lindsay's Bridal Shower

My wonderful friend Lindsay is getting married in July, so I decided to host a bridal shower for her.  The theme was Afternoon Tea and Crafts.  It was great success (especially the egg salad sandwiches).  I didn't realize how crafty this group of girls are.  All I had to do was bring out the felt and glue guns, then we crafted for 3 hours.

Oh Muffin

My first attempt at breakfast muffins.  There is a cafe in Denmark, Australia that makes these amazing savory muffins, I've been wanting to recreate them ever since I got backHere is the recipe I worked off of.  I added spinach, mushrooms and feta.                 http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/savory_breakfast_muffins.html

May Long

I spent the long weekend in Saskatchewan celebrating my Grandmothers 90th birthday.  It was a great trip, I filled my mornings on the farm wondering about looking for an elusive owl and instead found interesting junk piles and flowers. The rest of the day I spent catching up with family.

Making the most of my last days in Aus.

Yesterday was very productive.  I woke up early and spent the morning at circular pools.

Then I went to Dinorsaur/bird/reptile land

This guy wanted to ride around on my arm the whole time I was there.

This bird reminded me of Misses Floofy Fluferson, he was a little bit crazy like her too.  Oh Fluffers!

Then I spent the night at Parry's beach.

Apple Picking

Dirty apple pickers!

I love to pick apples

She made me help her.  So she has to fill 5 of those wooden bins in a day to make min. wage.  Hard work.

Look at all them apples

Ooh La La, the sexy apple picker!

I happened to drive past this on my journey across Aus.  I was thinking "does that say Chloe?".

Playing with shutter speed

We visited a lot of water falls in Tasmania.  It was great chance to learn how to use my new camera.
